Jitu Lal joins BJP

Jamnagar's this action was in waiting since long, yesterday senior Congress leader from Jamnagar Jitendra Lal (Jitu Lal) formally joined BJP.

Jitendra Lal was in Ahmedabad and he joined BJP with more than 25 supporters, he joined BJP in the presence of senior BJP leaders Vijay Rupani, Purushottam Rupala and I K Jadeja. Just a week back, on April 3, Jitendra Lal quit Congress. Jitendra Lal had contested assembly election twice from Jamnagar on a Congress ticket.

Jitu Lal lost to BJP candidates in 2007 and 2012, he claimed that recent elections were sabotaged by a senior leader from Jamnagar. Jitu Lal alleged that a senior Congress leader had sabotaged and spoiled his chances in recent elections. Lal alleged that his loss was by a mere margin of around a thousand votes, had some senior leader supported him he could have easily won.
