Lakhota Beautification - But When

Jamnagar residents has only one place of recreation, that is Lakhota Lake. its dismal condition is a sore in eye of each citizens of this wonderfull city.

Now this historical lake and the palace within will get a complete makeover, inspired by Kankaria makeover in Ahmedabad, Jamnagar Municipal Corporation is planning a complete facelift for this area.

New area will include a special kids zone, an over bridge and an organized and dedicated refreshment zones. JMC added that the complete area around the lake will have an Eco-friendly atmosphere, this means more trees.

JMC will spend Rs 33 crore on this project, This investment is a part of CM's allocation of rs 3,500 crore package announced for Jamnagar, during Sadbhavana fast in the city.
For traffic control, a wall encircling the lake will be constructed and the entry will be through nine gates.

As a part of this mega project, a new walking track, jogging track, food court, night market, handicrafts market, gardens, senior citizen park, two boating areas, amphitheater, laser shows are also projected.

Now this is 5th time, halar.org has reported that beautification of Lakhota will start soon, in last 6 years. Since last 6 years this project was always planned and perhaps executed on paper with allocations going to someone's pocket. This time with CM's fund lets see what happens.
